Thank you very much for your support and cooperation with the Nantan International Association.

This year marks the 17th year since the Nantan City International Exchange Association was established by unifying the international exchange organizations that had been active in each region after the merger of Nantan City.

Since its establishment, international exchange projects with a wide range of participants from children to the general public include "Field Trip in Nantan" and "Nantani An Kids Carnival", international understanding education such as "English conversation class for working adults", "Children's Painting Contest", "World Cooking Class", multicultural coexistence project, "Japanese class" for foreign residents and "disaster prevention, crime prevention, and transportation class" We are working on various projects to promote the internationalization of the region.

With more than 400 foreign residents living in Nantan City and the number of foreign tourists increasing with the post-coronavirus pandemic, the realization of a multicultural society and the development of human resources who can respond to the international community are emphasized, and the role played by our association is becoming more and more important.

Going forward, we will continue to expand the circle of not only Nantan citizens but also wide-area networks and actively promote the development of "people" and "towns" open to the world.

We would like to ask for your further support and guidance in the operation of our association, and for your further support and cooperation in the development of the internationalization of Nantan City, such as the development of human resources who will spread their wings around the world, and the promotion of international exchange projects in the Kyoto Tamba area.

日頃は南丹市国際交流協会にご支援、御協力をいただき誠にありがとうございます。

当協会は南丹市合併後各地域で活動されていた国際交流団体を一本化し、新たに南丹市国際交流協会として発足し、今年で１７年目を迎えています。

おかげさまで、設立以来、子どもから一般の方まで幅広くご参加いただく国際交流事業として、「フィールドトリップinなんたん」や「なんたにあんキッズカーニバル」など、また「社会人のための英会話教室」、「子ども絵画コンクール」「世界の料理教室」など国際理解教育、多文化共生事業、そして在住外国人のための「日本語教室」や「防災、防犯、交通教室」など、地域の国際化の推進に向けてさまざまな事業に取り組んでいます。

南丹市への外国人の在住者は400人を超え、アフターコロナを迎え外国人観光客はますます増加しする中で、多文化共生社会の実現や国際社会の対応できる人材の育成は重要視され、当協会の果たす役割もますます大切になってきています。

今後も引き続き、南丹市民の皆様はもとより、広域的なネットワークの輪を広げ、世界に開かれた「ひと」「まち」づくりを積極的に推進していく所存です。

皆様方には、当協会の運営にさらなるご支援、ご指導を賜りますことをお願いし、あわせて各種事業への参画、また支援を賜り、世界に羽ばたく人材育成など南丹市の国際化の発展、また京都丹波地域の国際交流事業の推進に、より一層ご支援、ご協力を賜りますよう何とぞ宜しくお願い申し上げます。
